CHEESEHEAD Field Campaign Underway
May 20, 2019This summer, students and faculty from the AOS department will be starting work on the “Chequamegon Heterogeneous Ecosystem Energy-balance Study Enabled by a High-density Extensive Array of Detectors” or CHEESEHEAD field campaign in Price County, Wisconsin. Building off the data collected in WLEF-TV tower near Park Falls, the project aims to gather comprehensive data on the interactions of ecosystems and vegetation with climate and weather. Professor Ankur Desai will be serving as the principle investigator for CHEESEHEAD, while Professor Grant Petty will be collecting data with the use of his ultralight aircraft.
