I am interested in how the ocean influences climate variability and climate change, with an eye toward applying our understanding of coupled ocean-atmosphere processes to the analysis and improvement of interannual to decadal climate predictions. My research uses a variety of tools including climate models of varying complexity, observational products, and statistical techniques.
